Make Your Expertise Visible
You probably don’t need more ideas. You may already have articles, presentations, workshops, research, newsletters, book ideas, client conversations, frameworks, half-finished projects, and things you keep meaning to return to. And yet it can still feel as though you’re starting over every time you ask:
What should I create next?
- Should this idea become a book?
- A workshop?
- A course?
- A keynote?
- A diagnostic?
- Should you be posting about it?
Should you build something new or go back to something you already made? When everything looks potentially useful, everything competes for your attention. The problem isn’t necessarily a lack of content. The problem is that you’ve accumulated expertise faster than you’ve built an architecture for using it.
What if the valuable work is already there?
- Your old presentation may contain the beginning of a framework.
- Six articles may actually be six expressions of the same important idea.
- The question clients keep asking may point to a tool, diagnostic, workshop, or book.
- The half-finished project you’ve been feeling guilty about may not need to be finished at all.
- The work is not to turn everything you know into more content.
The work is to map the expertise underneath what you have already created, decide which ideas deserve development, understand what people actually need from those ideas, and choose the forms that allow the work to do its job. That’s how scattered expertise starts becoming a body of work. And that’s how it becomes easier for other people to understand what they should come to you for.
By the end, you’ll know:
What your strongest ideas actually are.
Not simply which pieces of content performed well, but the frameworks, arguments, methods, distinctions, questions, stories, and recurring thinking underneath them.
Which ideas deserve more of your attention.
Because finding an idea doesn’t automatically mean it should become a project.
What those ideas should become.
A book? Workshop? Article? Diagnostic? Keynote? Course? Guide? Something else? Or nothing new at all?
How the pieces of your work can reinforce one another.
So your books, content, speaking, services, teaching, tools, and professional work stop behaving like unrelated projects.
Four weeks. Four decisions that change how you see your work.
Four 60-minute live working sessions, recordings available, plus worksheets/resources.
01 | October 13: Map Your Expertise
We begin underneath the content. You’ll look across the important work you already have and begin identifying the ideas, frameworks, questions, arguments, methods, distinctions, and patterns that keep appearing.
You are not cataloguing every email you have ever sent. You are learning how to recognize the thinking that matters. You may discover that eight apparently separate things are actually expressions of one important idea.
You’ll build your IP Map.
By the end of the week: You will see the valuable thinking underneath the things you’ve created.
02 | October 20: Choose the Right Containers
Once you can see the ideas, we ask a different question: What does someone actually need to do with this idea?
- Understand it?
- Practice it?
- Use it as a reference?
- Make a decision?
- Diagnose something?
- Go deeply into it?
That changes the format decision. Instead of saying, “I should make a course,” you’ll be able to ask whether a course is the right experience.
- Sometimes the answer will be a workshop.
- Sometimes a book.
- Sometimes a diagnostic.
- Sometimes the idea belongs inside something you already have.
And sometimes the answer is: This does not need to become anything else.
You’ll build your Container Map.
By the end of the week: You will know what your important ideas should become and have reasons for those decisions.
03 | October 27: Build the Business Ecosystem
Now we stop looking at each piece in isolation.
- What job does it do?
- How do people encounter your thinking?
- What helps them recognize a problem?
- What helps them understand it?
- Where might they need deeper support?
- How could your articles, books, workshops, speaking, tools, services, offers, or other work support one another?
This is not about forcing everything into a funnel. Every piece needs a reason to exist. But not every job needs a new piece.
You’ll build your Business Ecosystem Map.
By the end of the week: You will see what job each piece of your expertise does and how the pieces can work together instead of existing as disconnected content.
04 | November 3: Decide What Happens Now
At this point, you may be able to see more possibilities than ever. Which creates a dangerous thought:
Great. Now I have 27 things I need to make.
No.
Week Four is where we reduce the noise. You’ll sort what you’ve uncovered into six decisions:
CREATE. DEVELOP. REUSE. LATER. RETIRE. STOP.
Then you’ll choose the one useful priority that deserves the next 90 days and create a realistic way to build, use, test, and refine it.
You’ll leave with your 90-Day Focus Plan.
By the end: You will know where to put your attention for the next 90 days, and you will no longer have to treat every possible project as equally urgent.
What you’ll walk away with
Together, the four pieces give you a practical blueprint for your body of work:
- Your IP Map: the important thinking you already have.
- Your Container Map: what selected ideas should become and why.
- Your Business Ecosystem Map: how the pieces connect to your audience, your work, and professional or commercial opportunities.
- Your 90-Day Focus Plan: what you will create, develop, reuse, postpone, retire, or stop doing next.
Not an enormous master plan for everything you could someday build. A clearer view of what matters and a decision about what happens next.
Each week we meet live for 60 minutes. I’ll teach the framework, work through examples, and then you’ll apply the thinking to your own expertise. There will be time to make decisions, begin the week’s map or plan, and ask questions.
You’ll have some work to continue between sessions, but the point is not to give you a mountain of homework. The between-session work lets you finish the thinking we begin together and arrive ready for the next decision.
Who this is for
This will work best if you already have something substantial to work with. You might be an author or aspiring author, consultant, educator, researcher, coach, speaker, trainer, creator, business owner, or another knowledge-based professional. You may have years of material. Or you may simply have a smaller but meaningful collection of work, recurring ideas, frameworks, questions, client conversations, research, talks, teaching, or unfinished projects.
You do not need to arrive with everything organized. That’s part of the work.
But this is not designed for someone starting from zero and asking, “What should my expertise be?” It’s for someone who suspects: There is more value and coherence in what I already know than people can currently see.
What this is not
- This is not content repurposing. We are not turning one idea into 27 posts.
- It is not a content calendar. You will not leave with three months of things you now have to feed the internet.
- It is not a funnel-building course. Not everything valuable needs to push directly toward a sale.
- It is not personal-brand theatre. We begin with the substance of your thinking, not how you perform expertise online.
- And it is not done-for-you consulting. I will give you the structure, questions, examples, guided work, and strategic feedback. You bring the knowledge of your own work and make the decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I can’t attend every session live?
Every session will be recorded, and you’ll have access to the recordings and program materials for two months after the program. The live sessions are working sessions, so attending when you can is valuable, but missing one does not mean losing the program.
Do I need years and years of content?
No. The goal is not to inventory everything you have ever created. You need enough meaningful experience, ideas, work, or thinking to identify patterns worth developing. Usefulness matters more than completeness.
Is this only for authors?
No. Authors are a natural fit, but the underlying requirement is not a book. It is thinking worth developing. Consultants, educators, researchers, coaches, speakers, trainers, creators, and other expertise-based professionals can apply the same process.
Will I actually build the book/course/workshop/etc. during the four weeks?
Not necessarily. The program helps you make the architecture and priority decisions: what deserves to be built, why, what form makes sense, and what should happen next. Your 90-Day Focus Plan is where implementation continues.
Is this a marketing program?
Not primarily. We will look at discovery, authority, audience needs, offers, services, revenue, and professional opportunities where they help us understand the role of an intellectual asset. But this is not training on algorithms, posting frequency, SEO tactics, advertising, or growing a particular platform.
What if I discover that one of my ideas isn’t worth pursuing?
Excellent. Later, retire, and stop are valid outcomes.
The goal is not to justify every idea you have ever had. It is to make better decisions about where your expertise, energy, and attention belong.
You don’t need to make more noise. You need to make it easier to see the value that is already there.
- To know which ideas deserve to become something bigger.
- To understand how your work fits together.
- To choose what matters now.
And to let the rest wait.
